Check out our breed directory -- most of the Portuguese Podengos in America are of the small wire coat variety. Some are of the smooth coat variety. No matter which, they are all happy, fun and much loved. Webmaster Manny has invited all of them to send their photo and location, and they will be posted here as they come in.
You can see that while all conform to the breed type as described in the Breed Standard, none look identical. That is one of the things so special about Pequenos, their uniqueness. No same-old same-old here. The Portuguese Podengo may be an ancient breed, and a rare one, but each has their own personality and look.
