Best in Show
The American Rare Breed Association's Nutmeg Classic took place on September 23, 2006 in Haddam, Connecticut. Portuguese Podengos fared exceptionally well at this show. The greatest history maker was Fenomeno do Vale do Poco, who won two (not one, but two!) Best In Shows. Fenomono, bred by Vitor and Gabriela Veiga, is owned by Nadine Mahan, Watertown, Connecticut. This is the first time a Podengo Medio has won a Best in Show in the US. It was quite an achievement, especially as it was his first time showing! We look forward to a great future for Fenomono.
